Project description |
Power outage reporting and information application
Development of an IVR solution that enables callers to obtain information about existing power outages or to report new incidents.
Phonetic lexicon development
Development of a large French Canadian phonetic lexicon. This lexicon was generated using Nu Echo's proprietary rule-based transformation engine, which takes the phonetic baseforms in the Nu Echo master phonetic lexicon and produces surface forms in the target phonetic alphabet.
Caller identification speech application
Development of a solution that provides callers with various means of identifying themselves in the IVR. For instance, if they don't have their account number, they can use other information such as their address (a solution powered by NuAddress). This solution was deployed on Genesys GVP.
VoiceXML applications
Complete redesign of existing IVR call flows and implementation of the new applications using Cisco CVP Studio and custom Java components. |
Change of address solution
Design and development of a complex change of
address solution powered by both NuAddress
and NuID. Turn-key speech
application load testing using the NuBot Platform
311 call routing application
Design and implementation of a call routing solution for City of Montreal's 311 application. The solution surpassed the stringent success requirements demanded by the city. The application was deployed on Bell Canada's Voice Select platform. |
Caller identity verification solution
Nu Echo delivered a solution that automates the identification process used by agents in the call center. The NuID solution was the only one that could meet RRQ's stringent requirements in terms of automation rate and security.
Java VoiceXML framework and application development (VoiceXML migration)
The project’s goal was to port legacy IVR applications over to VoiceXML (on a Genesys GVP platform). Nu Echo designed and implemented the Java framework and the reusable components used to develop the applications. Using this framework, Nu Echo implemented all IVR applications
Speech recognition application development (Java, VoiceXML)
Nu Echo implemented the entire suite of VoiceXML speech applications of a major Canadian air travel fidelity program. This application is completely speech-enabled and it also leverages voiceprint technology. The solution was developed using Nuance's SVF Java framework and deployed on a VoiceGenie platform.
Strategic consulting
Nu Echo participated with TELUS in a large consulting project aimed at identifying avenues for improving automation in RBC’s various IVR applications. This project was part of the RBC transformational initiatives.
Strategic consulting
RRQ is the government organization in charge of public pension funds and family allowances. Nu Echo performed an opportunity study for the introduction of speech technologies into RRQ’s contact center.
Strategic consulting
DGT resells telecommunications and IVR services to a wide range of Quebec Government departments and ministries. Nu Echo helped DGT define their IVR strategy and then put together the technical requirements portion for their upcoming RFP document.
Change of address solution
Nu Echo deployed a change of address solution powered by NuAddress at Desjardins Card Services, a large financial institution in Quebec. The solution also leverages NuID to validate the identity of certain callers. The application has been in production for several years and has consistently exceeded the customer's automation rate targets.
Software architecture and VoiceXML application development
The project’s goal was to port legacy IVR applications over to VoiceXML. Nu Echo developed the software architecture allowing the best possible integration of the VoiceXML applications into the customer’s existing Java/JSP based Web framework. Nu Echo also designed all the reusable modules used in order to accelerate the development of applications and implemented the first two applications.
Speech science (speech tuning)
Nu Echo provided expertise and assistance for improving the performance of a Directory Assistance application.
Speech application development (VoiceXML/Java/OSDM)
Nu Echo developed several applications, as a sub-contractor to ScanSoft, for various US ScanSoft customers. The software environment was ScanSoft’s Java SVF with OSDMs and the VoiceXML platforms were VoiceGenie and Nortel MPS. Other projects were done using Audium.
Application translation from English to French
Nu Echo adapted the VUI for French, designed all French prompts and developed and tuned all the French grammars (GSL grammars in a Nuance 8 environment).
Talk-to-Santa application
