Software architecture and VoiceXML application development (VoiceXML Migration)

The project’s goal was to port legacy IVR applications over to VoiceXML. Nü Echo designed and implemented the Java framework and the reusable components used to develop the applications. Using this framework, Nü Echo implemented all IVR applications, which were then successfully deployed.

Speech recognition application development (Java, VoiceXML)

Nü Echo implemented the entire suite of VoiceXML speech applications of a major Canadian air travel fidelity program. This application is completely speech-enabled and it also leverages voiceprint technology.

Strategic consulting

Nü Echo participated with TELUS in a large consulting project aimed at identifying avenues for improving automation in RBC’s various IVR applications. This project was part of the RBC transformational initiatives.

RRQ is the government organization in charge of public pension funds and family allowances. Nü Echo performed an opportunity study for the introduction of speech technologies into RRQ’s contact center.

DGT resells telecommunications and IVR services to a wide range of Quebec Government departments and ministries. Nü Echo helped DGT define their IVR strategy and then put together the technical requirements portion for their upcoming RFP document.

Packaged application sale and deployment (Nü Address™ & Nü ID™)

Desjardins Card Services is a large financial institution in Quebec. Nü Echo has successfully deployed its packaged Change of Address application, as well as its Identity Authentication application. The automation rate achieved by this solution has largely exceeded the highest target set by Visa Desjardins

Software architecture and VoiceXML application development

The project’s goal was to port legacy IVR applications over to VoiceXML. Nü Echo developed the software architecture allowing the best possible integration of the VoiceXML applications into the customer’s existing Java/JSP based Web framework. Nü Echo also designed all the reusable modules used in order to accelerate the development of applications and implemented the first two applications.

Nü Echo provided expertise and assistance for improving the performance of a Directory Assistance application (6-week project).

Speech application development (VoiceXML/Java/OSDM)

Nü Echo developed several applications, as a sub-contractor to ScanSoft, for various US ScanSoft customers. The software environment was ScanSoft’s Java SVF with OSDMs and the VoiceXML platforms were VoiceGenie and Nortel MPS. Other projects were done using Audium.

Translation of an application from English to French

Nü Echo adapted the VUI for French, designed all French prompts and developed and tuned all the French grammars (GSL grammars in a Nuance 8 environment).

Development of the Talk-to-Santa application

Nü Echo developed in record time a speech application that allowed children to have a personalized application with Santa Claus [More].

Audit of DTMF and speech applications

Audited existing DTMF and Speech Applications and made several improvement recommendations, most of which were implemented.

TTS quality tuning

Tuned the quality of French and English TTS (using Speechify) for an application involving Montreal street names.

Speech, VoiceXML, and application development training

Nü Echo has provided its standard VoiceXML and Speech training offerings to a variety of clients. In addition, Nü Echo has also provided VoiceXML coaching as well as custom training.

Speech data collection and transcription

Nü Echo has performed several speech data collection projects for different US customers with a very fast turn-around time.
